Geng out to an event will help you hear what's new in the industry, glean stories of experiences that worked really well for groups, or even to explore a new desnaon with a partner you haven't worked with before. SITE networking events and other industry events are a fantasc opportunity to gain insights from your connecons in the industry. SITE Canada's next networking event will take place on September 26 th at BarChef. This is a members only evening, so make sure to join and register before the event sells out! Another way to ensure you're at the top of your game is to achieve an industry cerficaon. SITE offers two cerficaons for members – the CIS (Cerfied Incenve Specialist) and CITP (Cerfied Incenve Travel Professional). These designaons signal to colleagues, clients and peers, that you have taken the me to educate yourself in industry best pracces and hold yourself to the highest standards in service and ethics. Informaon for both designaons can be found on the SITE internaonal website. Finally, the last, and perhaps easiest, way to educate yourself is to read! There are so many great industry resources at your fingerps with an abundance of informaon to share. Stay current with our chapter by reading SITElines, check in with Ignite magazine for industry trends and hot topics, and familiarize yourself with all of the online resources provided by SITE and the SITE Foundaon. The Foundaon's Movate hub is a fantasc curaon of resources that is updated regularly. To access all that Movate has to offer, please visit SITE global's Movate. Once you've taken advantage of these educaonal opportunies, consider taking it to a new level with learning by experience and joining the SITE Canada Board of Directors! Our call for nominaons will come out mid-September and this is your opportunity to get involved, gain further insight into our industry, make new connecons and expand your personal and professional growth.
