This is the largest Canadian academic meeting and is actually 70 diff erent associations in the humanities and social sciences milieu. Cliff Fielder, conference services manager at Western University, has been working for over a year now, with a committee of 22, just for this event. It will take over the city between May 30 and June 5, 2020. Fielder says the University will provide space for an expo, a book fair and a hub for socializing. Tourism London was involved with the University in bid preparation and helping to coordinate room blocks with local hotel partners. In September they will meet with the organizing committee to plan for the transportation needs of the group with shuttle buses. They will also provide the congress with complimentary London Transit passes and ensure there will be lots of signage around the city to welcome this prestigious event. At least 3,500 people will stay on campus, with the rest occupying rooms in the downtown core. There will be a social zone on campus for delegates to grab a bite to eat and socialize. Keynotes at the Congress will be open for the community to attend. " — Andrew Dixon, Conference Committee Chair, Ontario Association of Home Inspectors
