A UNESCO World Heritage Site and National Historic Landmark, Taliesin West is a must-see on any Scottsdale itinerary. Located in the foothills of the McDowell Mountains, Taliesin West was the winter home of world- renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Constructed from local materials and embedded into the landscape, it was designed to refl ect the surrounding desert environment. Various spaces throughout this stunning property also can be used for meetings and events, such as the triangular Sunset Terrace that steps down to the Prow—a triangular garden and lawn with geometric beds of native plants extending out to a 360-degree view that Wright described as "standing on the rim of the world." Visit Cosanti in Paradise Valley, home to the Paolo Soleri Bronze & Ceramic Windbells & Sculptures gallery, and be swept away by the wistful chimes of the Soleri bells.
