WE'RE IN THIS teh GET SCHOOLED To make sure you're on top of your game when the recovery begins, MPI is opening up its online courses, free of charge, to members and non-members. mpi.org/trustedresource HASHTAG SYNC-UP More than ever, social media plays a vital role in keeping our community connected. We're using these hashtags: #eventstrong #meetingstrong #eventprofs WATCH THIS Need some feel-good vibes? We put together this slideshow as a love letter to the industry and a reminder of its strength and resiliency. CHEERS! We raise a glass to the distilleries who are providing disinfectants and hand sanitizers to institutions and individuals. Among them: • Dillon's Small Batch Distillers, Beamsville, Ont. • Grit City Distillery, Medicine Hat, Alta. • Monashee Spirits Craft Distillery, Revelstoke, BC • Reid's Distillery, Toronto • Sons of Vancouver Distillery, North Vancouver, BC • Spirit of York, Toronto • Walkerville Hiram Walker & Sons Distillery, Windsor, Ont. WASTE NOT The sudden postponement or cancellation of events left many venues with surplus food. Staff at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC) worked together to prepare 1,500 meals and donated them to local agencies for the homeless. "In times like these, playing our part and helping those in need is essential," says Lorenz Hassenstein, president & CEO at the MTCC. 10 | Ignitemag.ca
