POSITIVE VIBES
" I can feel the energy of events
starting to come back to life
slowly. People are excited about
gathering in person again. There
seems to be more confidence in
planning ahead to 2022."

POPULAR VOTE
One of the challenges with online events for associations,
shareholders and boards of directors is ensuring that voting is
done accurately, fairly and securely.
Toronto-based GetQuorum is addressing that issue. Its full-
service meeting solution provides full administration and live
support, including attendee registration, audience moderation
and vote administration.
The service has the capacity for e-consent, advance electronic
voting, real-time electronic voting and secret ballots and has two-
factor authentication for security. "We are able to accommodate
the legislation or by-laws of whatever jurisdiction or organization
we are working with," says Mark DiPinto, marketing specialist.
Pride Toronto recently worked with GetQuorum to produce its
AGM, which involved the passing of several motions and board
member elections. You can read a case study of the meeting on
the company's website.

" We are encouraged for the fall and 2022
because our Global DMC Partner sellers say
their clients are really interested in Canada to
reopen. While we are receiving leads from the
US and Mexico for the fall, there is hesitancy
to sign a contract due to ongoing border
closures. On the Canadian side, we continue
to see movement from live to virtual for the
remainder of 2021, but hope for in-person
returns for 2022."
