CHUTZPAH CULINARY The region punches above its weight when it comes to dining. Culinary giants such as Jonathan Gushue has entered the downtown restaurant scene, select- ing the best of the region's local produc- ers to chart each day's menu. The Berlin opened early this year to rave reviews and seats 120 downstairs and has a pri- vate room for 70 on the second floor. The TWH Social is manned by Chef Jeff Ward and serves up in-house seafood specialties and favourites such as ricotta gnocchi and artisanal charcuterie. Private events in The Cellar can seat 25 people. Proof Kitchen & Lounge in the Delta Waterloo showcases the region's food producers to keep the menu locally fo- cused. Private dining room areas in Proof can be used by groups. Proof also man- ages in-house catering. BREWIN' WHAT'S The long history of Oktoberfest in this region makes it a natural for craft brewery tours. Brew Donkey takes the headache out of logistics with three separate craft brewery tours, each featur- ing four different breweries, with lunch and sam- ples included. The Oktoberfest Events Committee can also accommodate a little Om-Pah-Pah with their ex- clusive 'Oktoberfest Experience'—any time of the year.
