Getting Down to Business Stacey Roy, vice-president, operations & program implementation of The Canadian Chamber of Commerce, based in Ottawa, brought their 320-member national conference and AGM to Fredericton in September 2017. The two-and-a-half-day conference featured high-level political keynotes from Hon. Bill Morneau, Minister of Finance and Hon. Brian Gallant, Premier of New Brunswick. Roy was ecstatic about the city-wide free Wi-Fi, which she categorizes as "a huge deal for a conference of our size. I also can't say enough about the phenomenal convention centre. The staff were so accommodating and very customer-driven. The facilities were modern and the right size for our group." Roy says the local Chamber of Commerce always hosts a cultural event to showcase the best of the region. "This year was a maritime kitchen party at the Delta Hotels Fredericton, featuring local delicacies such as lobster and scallops, while a lively band kept the guests entertained. The terrace at the back of the Delta was transformed into a campfire scene, complete with s'mores toasted treats." Wendy Bradley Meeting & Convention Specialist Tel: 506.460.2852 or 888.888.4768 Email: wendy.bradley@fredericton.ca "I was totally captivated by the beauty of the city, the river and how much there was to do downtown." We'd love to share our city with you. rendez-vousfredericton.ca
