Nor is it a typical market. Or a restaurant. This uniquely fabulous concept houses a community of food stalls from 18 of the city's best chef's, restauranteurs and other culinary purveyors serving cuisine that spans the globe. Each station is wonderfully branded. While open daily to the public, the 18,000-sq.-ft. hall can handle events in several areas that extend the relaxed, creatively food-centric setting. Pull the Main Hall's great- looking wine bar and seating into event service action. The MULTI-SIZED Conferences, Galas And Meetups Where: Metro Toronto Convention Centre Big Enough For: Seven exhibition halls; 77 meeting rooms; two ballrooms; and a theatre seating 1,232 The Look: As Canada's largest convention facility with over 2-million- sq.-ft., there's a multi-level bounty of halls, meeting rooms, reception areas, lobbies, a theatre, and more with space that makes every event size and layout configuration possible. A recent $23-million modification to the South Building added 11,000 square feet to its 600 level along with several enhancements and eight new meeting rooms. The contemporary finishes are inspired by nature's elements and palette, including calming floor coverings in a sea of blues. Modern glass balconies overlook Level 700's pre-function space and there's a spacious, new registration area complete with LED chandelier. Other upgrades include new digital walls and AV. Bonus Points: Not only is location prime in the downtown core with several hotels within walking distance, but the centre is an award- winning leader when it comes to corporate social responsibility and environmental management initiatives. << << Beer Hall sports oversized circular chandeliers overhead, a colourful wall mural, DJ booth, projectors and screens. The Courtyard Patio opens for events come summer. Utilize the in-house wood and metal picnic benches, bistro-style and high-top tables. The event team can help with other event requirements. Bonus Points: Order off the hall's set event menu, or coordinate with vendors of your choice to either customize dishes for a sit-down or have guests roam a selection of booths for tapas-style dining. Take a video tour. (Courtesy of Toronto Food)
